Mount Type Measurement Instructions

Click below on the mounting option of your choice and follow the instructions.

Inside Mount

This mounting is the most common and it is the one we recommend if possible. The blind is mounted inside the windows mullions, frame or casing. Inside mount provides a clean and finished look.

If you’re interested in measuring for inside mount on wall or ceiling, follow these simple steps and record each measurements.

We recommend you to use the measuring sheet to make sure you don’t forget anything.

Note: To ensure the correct coverage of the window opening (to avoid any light gap), the total width of the blind box needs to be 30mm wider than the glass opening on each side. If the space is not sufficient, a small light gap is to be expected.

  1. Check that there aren’t any obstructions that may get in the way of an inside mount.
  2. Measure from edge to edge:
    1. the window opening (inside the window mullions):
      1. width at the top and bottom
      2. height at the middle.
    2. the glass:
      1. width at the top and bottom
      2. height at the middle.
  3. Measure the height above glass (space between the superior edge of the glass and the inside of the window’s frame).
  4. Double check your measurements

To receive an accurate quotation, and blinds that perfectly fit and protect your window, it is important to provide all the dimensions mentioned.

Outside Mount

The blind is mounted outside the windows mullions, frame or casing. Outside mount is a good option if an inside mount is not possible due to window depth or the presence of obstructions inside the window opening.

If you’re interested in measuring for outside mount on wall or ceiling, follow these simple steps and record each measurements.

We recommend you to use the measuring sheet to make sure you don’t forget anything.

  1. Consider the size that you want your window covering to be.
  2. Check that there aren’t any obstructions that may get in the way of an outside mount on the covering area that you defined.
  3. Provide height and width of the window opening by measuring from edge to edge inside the window mullions:
    1. height at the middle.
    2. width at the top and bottom
  4. Measure the total width you want to cover.
  5. Double check your measurements.

To receive an accurate quotation, and blinds that perfectly fit and protect your window, it is important to provide all the dimensions mentioned.
